Four questions
Where does your pathway break?
One question per step. Search. Seat. Savior. Surrender. At the end you get a scorecard you can put on the screen in Monday's staff meeting, naming the one step that's quietly costing you the other three.
Pastor, I spent years measuring exactly one thing.
The room. Full room, good Sunday. Empty seats, bad Sunday. I baptized attendance and called it fruit, and I was genuinely proud of the dashboard I built to watch it. It took me way too long to notice I was grading the second step of four.
Here's the deal: this road doesn't fail evenly. It fails at the weakest link. A church nobody can find never gets to step two. A church that fills seats but never presents the gospel plainly has built an event business. A church that preaches salvation with no next step watches new believers stall out in the parking lot and quietly go back to being an attender.
Four steps. Most churches measure one.
So answer these honestly. Nothing here gets submitted, emailed, or stored... the math runs on your own phone and disappears when you close the tab. Which means the only person you can fool on this page is you.
Step one · Search your church builds: Find
Somebody in your city types a two-in-the-morning question into a search bar. Where does your church land?
Step two · Seat your church builds: Gather
Of the people who find you online, how many end up in a room on a Sunday?
Step three · Savior your church builds: Grow
On a normal weekend, does a first-time guest hear the gospel plainly and get a clear way to respond?
Step four · Surrender your church builds: Go
What actually happens to the person who says yes?
Nothing answered yet. Four to go.

Screenshot the card above and put it in front of your team. It's built to fit on one slide.
Why the weakest step is the only one that matters
Because a road is only as passable as its worst mile. You can pour a fortune into a great Sunday and still lose every person who searched at two in the morning and found a wellness podcast instead. You can rank first in your city and still hand a searcher a room where nobody says the name of Jesus out loud.
Is that harsh? Maybe. I've been on the wrong end of all four of those steps, and I'm not throwing rocks from across the street... I helped build some of those brochure websites, and I was proud of a couple of them.
Matthew 28:19-20 never says fill a room. It says go and make disciples. The seat is a tool. The Commission is the assignment.
If you want the longer version of the argument, it's in Search. Seat. Savior. Surrender. And if you'd rather see us grade ourselves before you let us grade you, we publish our own scoreboard, refreshed every morning, low numbers and all.
So, Pastor... one question, and I'd genuinely like the answer. Which step did you score lowest, and what's the plan for it before Christmas? If you'd rather talk it through than stare at it, that's thirty minutes with me. No deck, no pitch.
Bring us one sermon.
We'll show you the week it becomes... and the step of the pathway it repairs first. Thirty minutes with Jeff. No deck, no pitch.
