Humble Disruption LLC ("we," "us") runs humbledisruption.com and related tools. Here's the honest version of what we collect and what we do with it.

What we collect

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). This uses cookies. We don't sell this data or use it to identify you personally. You can block analytics cookies in your browser and the site works fine.

What you send us. If you book a meeting, email us, or share a sermon link, we keep what you sent so we can respond and serve you. Meeting scheduling is handled by Google Calendar under Google's privacy terms.

Embedded content. Pages may embed YouTube videos (served via YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode) and the Google Calendar scheduler. Those services may set their own cookies under their own policies when you interact with them.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't run third-party advertising. We don't build profiles of you across the web. We don't send marketing email you didn't ask for.

Client tools and integrations

Tools we build and operate for client churches (websites, apps, publishing systems, and integrations authorized through services like Google) access only the data needed to do the work the client engaged us for, and we treat that data as the client's, not ours. Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Messages with Cliff (email, Discord, WhatsApp)

Some of our messages come from Cliff, an Ai communications assistant that works with Jeff Reed. Cliff always says it's an Ai the first time it writes to you, and Jeff can see every conversation. You can always ask for Jeff directly.

What we keep. When you write to Cliff at [email protected], message our Discord or Slack bot, or message +1 814-648-6253 on WhatsApp, we store what you sent, the address, Discord account or phone number it came from, and when. We use that to reply and to keep track of the conversation. Email to Cliff is also copied to Jeff's inbox. If a message looks like someone may be in crisis, we send helpline information right away and alert Jeff. So that Jeff can respond, we keep that one message for 30 days where only he can read it, then delete it.

Who processes it. Messages are stored on Cloudflare. WhatsApp messages pass through Meta, Discord messages through Discord, and email copies through Google. Cliff runs on Anthropic's Claude, so Anthropic processes message text to help draft replies. Nothing Cliff sends goes out without Jeff's approval. We don't use your messages for advertising, and we don't sell them.

How long we keep it. When a conversation with Cliff has been quiet for 90 days, we delete the message text Cliff stored. We keep a bare record of when you wrote, on which channel, and from which address or number for one year after that last message, then delete that too, along with your contact details. If you write again, the clock starts over.

Deleting your messages

To have your messages deleted, reply DELETE to Cliff on any channel, or email [email protected]. Within 30 days we'll erase what Cliff stored about you: your messages, your contact details and our notes. We'll confirm when it's done. Copies kept by the services themselves, like your own WhatsApp app or your sent mail, are under your control.

Retention & your choices

We keep correspondence as long as it's useful for serving you, and analytics per Google Analytics' standard retention. Want something corrected or deleted? Just ask.
