Respond · the HEAR Journal, NOTE and READ

Where a devotional becomes a habit.

Reading is the easy part. The HEAR Journal is a private place to answer what you read: what stood out, what it means, how it applies, and a prayer in response. NOTE catches a thought in one line. READ brings the day's devotional to your phone.

HEAR

Four prompts. One passage. Your own words.

Each entry starts with the passage and four questions: Highlight, which verse stood out to you? Explain, what does it mean? Apply, how does it apply to your life today? Respond, write a prayer in response. That is the whole method, and it is the same shape as the daily devotional, so reading and writing line up.

Calm

Reading settings

Text size, contrast and a dyslexia-friendly font, because a journal you cannot comfortably read is a journal you stop using.

Progress

Your 1 Peter picture

A square for every week of the letter, brighter the more days you read, so you can see the whole letter fill in.

Stay

A verse to remember

One verse to carry, and a Sunday email of your own writing, so you hear yourself back.

Between devotionals

NOTE and READ.

NOTE: send the word and a few lines about what stood out, and it is added to today's devotional in your journal. READ: message Cairn the word and the full devotional for the day comes back to you on WhatsApp or Discord, no account needed. You can also write a whole HEAR entry in chat.

Boundaries

Private unless you share it.

The journal is private unless you choose to share it. That is stated up front, on the page where you sign in.
